Baseball Recap: Unity's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Unity's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Ladysmith Lumberjacks. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Uriah Fugate was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Unity is 2-1 when Fugate posts two or more runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Brian Bantz was another key player, earning three runs and four stolen bases.

Unity's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Ladysmith, their loss was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Unity has already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Barron on the 15th. As for Ladysmith, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-4 defeat against St. Croix Falls on the 15th.
