Vaughn dropped down to 7-11 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were dealt a 75-13 loss at the hands of the Northridge Academy Pumas. The White Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Nathaly Contrereas was Vaughn's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Estefany Contreras held things down on the boards with 16 rebounds.

As for Northridge Academy, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Northridge Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Valery Farias, who dropped a triple-double with 11 points, ten assists, and 11 steals. Farias has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more steals the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Janelle Estrella, who went 10-for-19 to rack up 22 points and five steals.

Vaughn has already played their next contest, a 44-25 win against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences on the 4th. As for Northridge Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-12 victory against Fulton on the 5th.
