Softball Recap: Callaway's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Callaway entered their tilt with Rutland on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Hurricanes 13-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cavaliers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Ryleigh Seymour was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Jerrica Jones, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Callaway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .588. The last time their batting average was this high was back in October of 2024.

Callaway's record is now 8-10. As for Rutland, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Callaway will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hurricanes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
