Basketball Recap: Rancho Bernardo Beats Murrieta Valley for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Rancho Bernardo extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Lindsay Biddle. Everything went the Rancho Bernardo Broncos' way against the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks on Wednesday as the Rancho Bernardo Broncos made off with a 59-38 win thanks in part to Biddle, who posted 31 points. Her evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Abby Lesagonicz, who had ten points. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Murrieta Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Peyton Axene and Valerie Lauritzen. Axene put up eight points and five rebounds, while Lauritzen went 8 of 19 on her way to 18 points and three steals. Lauritzen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season.

Rancho Bernardo's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Murrieta Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Rancho Bernardo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-42 win against Rancho Buena Vista on the 6th. As for Murrieta Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 52-50 defeat against San Marcos on the 6th.
