Basketball Game Preview: Fort Meade Miners vs. Moore Haven Terriers

Fort Meade is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 58-38 margin over Pahokee. The Miners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Omari Russell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nasier Berrien, who posted 17 points.

Fort Meade smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Moore Haven won against Lincoln Park Academy on Thursday with 54 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Moore Haven enjoyed a cozy 54-38 win over Marathon. The victory was nothing new for the Terriers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Moore Haven's record is now 12-7. As for Fort Meade, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
