Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bethel Christian Academy). They skirted past the Mount Pisgah Academy Mountaineers 63-61. The score was all tied up 27-27 at the break, but the Crusaders were the better team in the second half.

Logan Hughes was his usual excellent self, going 10-for-18 to rack up 22 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Phillips, who shot 43% from the field en route to 18 points and five boards.

Despite the loss, Mount Pisgah Academy still got an impressive performance from Trey McCalla, who went 10-for-19 on his way to 26 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Ben Jetter was another key player, putting up 17 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Bethel Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Mount Pisgah Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Bethel Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-14 victory against Williams Academy on the 21st. As for Mount Pisgah Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd.
