Baseball Recap: Unity Christian Comes Up Short

Unity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hearts Academy Panthers, falling 20-5. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 20-5 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

William Wilson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Darnell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Unity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Hearts Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Unity Christian by a score of 11-1 on Friday.
