Recap: Marysville Indians vs. Bear River Bruins        
        
		
            
 The Marysville Indians waltzed into their matchup  on Friday with three straight wins  but they left with four. They took down Bear River 64-49. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Marysville also won the last time the pair played  back in February of 2023.
  Demi Boykin continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 22 points along with five  assists and five  steals. She is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed four or more in the last five games she's  played.  Krystal Briggs was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 16 points and ten  rebounds.
 Bear River lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Krissy Kelly, who  scored 26 points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals. Kelly is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was  Taryn Cleek, who  scored ten points along with six  assists and five  steals.
 Marysville is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Bear River, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.
 Marysville will head out on the road to  take on  the Huskies at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Sutter will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 583rd, while the Indians are ranked 192nd). As for Bear River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant  players against one another:  Miessah Sagun and  Kelly.
