It's playoff time, and Los Gatos had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Salinas Cowboys with a sharp 56-35 win on Thursday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isabella Stepp, who posted seven points.

Los Gatos has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points over those games. The loss snapped Salinas' winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 18-8 record.

Coming up, Los Gatos will square off against Menlo-Atherton at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Los Gatos' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches. Salinas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
