Pearland had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Clear Lake Falcons by a score of 2-0. The Oilers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

While Pearland won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-15.

Britney Solomon paced Pearland's offense, picking up 12 kills. Solomon got some help from Camden Stevens and her five assists. Solomon also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Julia Reyes, racking up two apiece.

Pearland's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Clear Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Pearland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Friendswood on the 23rd. As for Clear Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Needville on the 23rd.
