Volleyball Recap: Skyline Spartans vs. Puyallup Vikings        
        
		
             Skyline and Puyallup squared off in some playoff action  on Friday, but Skyline had to settle for second. They came up short against  the Puyallup Vikings, falling  3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Spartans haven't been shut out since  back in September.
 When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, don't look at  Piper Hawryluk. Despite the final result, she  had ten  digs, two  aces,  and a  kill. Hawryluk has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more  assists the last 23 times she's  played.
 Puyallup was led to victory by  Samantha Pirillis and  Reese Sheppard.  Pirillis  had 12  digs, while  Sheppard  had 11  digs, four  kills,  and three  aces. What's more,  Sheppard also posted a 57.1%  hitting percentage, which is the highest she's  posted since back in October.
 Skyline is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 14-13-2. As for Puyallup, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 13 of their last 15 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-5-1 record  this season.
 Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  3-0  loss against Mead on the 22nd. Puyallup has also  already played their next match,  a  3-0  defeat against Kennedy Catholic on the 22nd.
