Champaign Central lost to Bloomington on Thursday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Maroons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Purple Raiders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Maroons.

Champaign Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-21. As for Bloomington, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.

Looking ahead, Champaign Central will take on Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Maroons are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Bloomington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mattoon on the 4th.
