In Saturday's non-league test, the host Champaign Central Maroons volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Bloomington Purple Raiders.

With the win, Champaign Central advances its record to 7-21 on the season. The Maroons host Centennial (Champaign, IL) to face the Chargers in a Big Twelve test on Tuesday, October 7. The Chargers go into the test with a record of 6-17. Centennial lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Riverton (Riverton, IL)

Next, the Purple Raiders play the Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 4. Bloomington will attempt to upgrade on its 9-15 season record. The Greenwave come into the challenge with a 11-14 record after their 2-0 league loss to Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL).
