Basketball Game Preview: Del Oro Golden Eagles vs. West Park Panthers

The Del Oro Golden Eagles will take on the West Park Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Park took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Del Oro, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Del Oro was fully in charge, breezing past Granite Bay 50-22. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, West Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Kennedy 72-44. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Cougars are ranked 169th).

Del Oro will have to contain Lauren Weis as she made an impact in West Park's last game. She posted five points.

Del Oro has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points over those games. As for West Park, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Everything came up roses for Del Oro against West Park when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 78-27 win. Does Del Oro have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
