Softball Recap: Prairie View Comes Up Short

Prairie View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 14-9 to the Thompson Valley Eagles.

Leilah Mateus made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Miley Trujillo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Prairie View's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Thompson Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Prairie View will be taking part in a tournament against Wheat Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Thompson Valley, they will take on Poudre at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
