Baseball Recap: Fitzgerald Triumphs

Fitzgerald's hitters rose to the challenge against a Bulldogs pitching crew that boasted an average of only 2.89 runs allowed on Thursday. The Purple Hurricane narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs 10-9.

Fitzgerald's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Emanuel County Institute, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-6.

Fitzgerald has already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against Bleckley County on the 17th. Emanuel County Institute does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
