Softball Recap: Greeley West Has No Trouble Against Falcon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greeley West). They put the hurt on the Falcon Falcons with a sharp 19-2 win on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The team relied heavily on Madison DeVault, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Josephine Gibson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Greeley West hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Greeley West's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Falcon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Greeley West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-8 defeat against Palmer Ridge on the 23rd. As for Falcon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-1 loss against Frederick on the 23rd.
