They took down Holy Martyrs Armenian 42-28. Given Cabrillo's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Holy Martyrs Armenian is ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Sophia Austin, who scored 12 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Cabrillo's points. Rylie Jenkins was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Cabrillo's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Holy Martyrs Armenian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Cabrillo will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Gabrielino at 1:00 p.m. on December 9th. Gabrielino is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Holy Martyrs Armenian, they will head out on the road to face off against Flintridge Sacred Heart at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
