For the second straight game, Elbert County will face off against Commerce. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Elbert County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Elbert County beat Commerce 9-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Sam Amabile made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other pitching news, Elbert County got a great performance from Haven Adams as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Adams has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Jose Rodriguez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Cheyvis McClendon was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Elbert County's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Commerce, their loss dropped their record down to 5-22.
