Softball Recap: Thomasville Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Thomasville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Worth County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. The Bulldogs never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Cece Myers was incredible, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrina Hance, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Thomasville lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Thomasville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Worth County, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Thomasville will take on Bacon County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Worth County will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' match: after the Bulldogs face off against the Raiders, they'll take on Worth County again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
