Baseball Recap: St. Anne-Pacelli's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

St. Anne-Pacelli was forced to take a big loss against they on Friday, they got the better of them on Friday. They never let the Strong Rock Christian Patriots get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Jaycob Veloz, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of St. Anne-Pacelli's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 8-15 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Braden Hudson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

St. Anne-Pacelli's win bumped their record up to 13-16. As for Strong Rock Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-17.

Looking ahead, St. Anne-Pacelli will square off against Lakeside School at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Chiefs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. Strong Rock Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
