Softball Recap: Maquoketa Comes Up Short

Maquoketa fell victim to Iowa City and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Little Hawks, falling 6-0. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Little Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Maquoketa's loss dropped their record down to 15-20. As for Iowa City, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Little Hawks beat Maquoketa by a score of 1-0 later that day.
