San Mateo came tearing into Friday's game with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.1 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Sequoia Ravens with points to spare, taking the game 48-30. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Ravens are ranked 826th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

San Mateo's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. As for Sequoia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
