Softball Recap: Rock Canyon Find Success

Rock Canyon lost to Mountain Vista back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Jaguars came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Dakota Dugan and Lucy Ueland did most of the damage at the plate: Dugan went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and four runs, while Ueland went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave Dugan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Piper Lowery, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Rock Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Mountain Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rock Canyon is set to face off against their familiar foe Heritage at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mountain Vista will square off against rival Highlands Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
