Soccer Game Preview: College Park vs. Castro Valley

The College Park Falcons will take on the Castro Valley Trojans in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

College Park is headed into the contest without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They and Foothill finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

College Park's goal came courtesy of Ariana Upson, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Castro Valley was not quite San Ramon Valley's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of Wolves by a score of 2-1. The Trojans haven't had much luck with Wolves recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

College Park's draw gives them a new season record of 1-0-5. As for Castro Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything went College Park's way against Castro Valley when the teams last played back in February of 2023, as College Park made off with a 5-0 victory. Will College Park repeat their success, or does Castro Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
