Softball Recap: Madison County Comes Up Short

Madison County lost against East Forsyth back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Raiders fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Red Raiders have lost by just one run.

Madison County's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for East Forsyth, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison County will head out to challenge Hebron Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Red Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for East Forsyth, they will head out on the road to face off against Walnut Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
