Basketball Recap: Olney Takes a Loss

Olney lost against Frankford back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Olney Trojans lost 59-35 to the Frankford Pioneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since January 10th.

Frankford's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janeliss Laboy, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten boards. That's the most points Laboy has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Rivera, who posted 13 points along with seven assists and seven boards.

Olney's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Frankford, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Olney didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-35 win against Prep Charter on the 11th. As for Frankford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-16 victory against MAST Charter II on the 10th.
