Softball Preview: Columbus Blue Devils vs. Hardaway Hawks

Columbus is a perfect 10-0 against Hardaway since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Hawks at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Columbus turned things around against Sumter County on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 15-1 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Blue Devils needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Addi Hart made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in August. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Columbus let Aubrie McBride and Mya Wiggins run wild.
