Recap: KIPP King Lions vs. Oakland Charter Matadors
With a playoff game on the line, the KIPP King Lions rose to the challenge on Monday. They breezed by the Matadors at home to the tune of 61-17. KIPP King has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 25 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Nikki Li, who scored 25 points along with seven steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Bertucci, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
The win was the sixth in a row for KIPP King, bringing their record for this year to 14-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Oakland Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
KIPP King does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oakland Charter also has no future games currently scheduled.
