After losing to Villa Joseph Marie the last time they met, Archbishop Ryan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders and Ragdolls strolled past the Jems with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 76-57. The Raiders and Ragdolls pushed the score to 67-43 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jems cut but never quite recovered from.

Archbishop Ryan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Izzi, who posted eight points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Breelynn Gavaghan, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 16 points.

When it comes to explaining why Villa Joseph Marie lost, don't look at Lucy Jasionis. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. Avery Akright was another key player, putting up eight points.

Archbishop Ryan has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 74.5 points this season. As for Villa Joseph Marie, their record now sits at 1-1.
