The Washington Prexies waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins but they left with six. They snuck past Bethlehem Center with a 46-42 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Washington, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Washington found their leader in underclassman Olivia Woods, who scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Woods has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Taraysia Finley, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Washington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Bethlehem Center, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Washington will head out on the road to challenge Monessen at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Monessen is coming into the match with four straight victories at home, so Washington is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Bethlehem Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
