Softball Recap: North Platte Panthers vs. Lawson Cardinals

North Platte proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Lawson Cardinals 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since September 15th.

Kate Wolf spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Graci Williams was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Savannah Crook was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
