It was a good run, but El Modena unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. 2025 welcomed they with a 54-33 loss courtesy of the Troy Warriors. The game marked the Vanguards' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

El Modena's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-2. As for Troy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Modena won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bolsa Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
