Baseball Recap: Madison County Gets the Win

Madison County never let their opponents score on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Druid Hills Red Devils.

Madison County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Druid Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Madison County and Druid Hills will both be playing Peach County the next time they take the field. The Red Raiders will head out to face the Trojans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Red Devils will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
