Softball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt couldn't beat The Classical Academy on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Roughriders fell just short of the Titans by a score of 8-7. The Roughriders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cali Bly made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Lily Wiese was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for The Classical Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Coming up, Roosevelt is taking a road trip to square off against Severance at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for The Classical Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-7 defeat against Mead on the 6th.
