Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ava Federspill and Tia Williams Lead Kokomo to Victory

If Lewis Cass wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Kokomo, they should've done a better job of containing Torre Willis. The Wildkats won by a set and slipped past the Kings 3-2 for which the team can thank Willis, who had four digs and four aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 23 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Kokomo wouldn't go down easily and took Lewis Cass into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-27, 17-25, 15-13.

Leading Kokomo to victory were Tia Williams and Ava Federspill. Williams had 11 digs and three aces, while Federspill had five digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Federspill a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Kokomo was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They served one more ace than Lewis Cass' also-impressive total of 13.

Lewis Cass' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lauren Tocco, who had 15 digs, and Ava Hubner, who had seven digs.

The victory got Kokomo back to even at 5-5. As for Lewis Cass, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
