Soccer Recap: Paramount Extends Winning Streak to Three

Paramount kept a clean sheet against Verdugo Hills on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Verdugo Hills Dons out 1-0. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dons, too.

The win was the third in a row for Paramount, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matches. As for Verdugo Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paramount will face off against Warren at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Warren will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Paramount surely won't give up without a fight. As for Verdugo Hills, they will host South Gate at 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Verdugo Hills' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
