Baseball Recap: St. John's Prep Comes Up Short

St. John's Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Browerville Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 back in April.

St. John's Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Browerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

St. John's Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Legacy Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Browerville, they will take on Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.54 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
