Basketball Recap: East Bakersfield Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East Bakersfield can now relate to. They fell 39-30 to the Bishop Union Broncos on Friday. The Blades were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Bishop Union got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sienna Fuller out in front who posted nine points. Tannyr Ludwick was another key player, going 5-for-10 on her way to 10 points and seven rebounds.

East Bakersfield's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Bishop Union, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.

East Bakersfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Union, they are taking a road trip to challenge Parlier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Parlier has won four straight at home, while Bishop Union won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
