Softball Recap: Solon Comes Up Short

Solon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Clippers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 on Wednesday.

Solon's defeat dropped their record down to 16-16. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 26-8-1 record this season.

Solon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-7 loss against Benton on the 3rd. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Cedar Falls on the 3rd.
