Basketball Recap: Lamar Victorious

Lamar won the last time they faced Dumas and things went their way on Friday too. The Thunder snuck past the Demons with a 55-49 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunder.

Jacob Dunning was nothing short of spectacular: he went 8-for-19 on his way to 24 points and three steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Andrew Chairez, who had 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Lamar's record now sits at 2-0. As for Dumas, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lamar and University will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Dumas, they will face off against Tascosa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
