After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pinewood Christian, Citizens Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Trinity Christian Crusaders 14-4. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten runs or more this season.

Jett Hart looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jonathan Rutland was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Gray McLean was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Citizens Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Citizens Christian Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Trinity Christian, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Citizens Christian Academy will square off against Robert Toombs Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Trinity Christian, they will take on Central Georgia Arts at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
