Softball Recap: Pueblo West Has No Trouble Against Grandview

Pueblo West was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They put the hurt on the Grandview Wolves with a sharp 10-3 win.

Kassidy Donley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Pueblo West got a massive performance out of Abbi Bay, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Bay a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Acelyn Duran, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Pueblo West hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grandview struck out six times.

The victory got Pueblo West back to even at 1-1. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Pueblo West has already played their next game, a 13-8 win against Fossil Ridge on the 22nd. As for Grandview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-8 loss against Riverdale Ridge on the 22nd.
