Shiloh extended their losing streak to nine on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-12. They lost 13-3 to the Lakeside Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-17 back in August.
Ayanna Erby made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Lianie Jarquin was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
As for Lakeside, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.
On Lakeside's side, the team relied heavily on Porter Bemiss, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI Bemiss has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Willow Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shiloh will challenge Woodward Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeside, they will head out to square off against Galloway at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Scots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.8 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
