Softball Recap: Liberty County Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Liberty County dropped to 6-5 on Monday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Bryan County Redskins, falling 17-6. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redskins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2018.

Aeriela Jemison was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brighton Harpe, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Bryan County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5. Considering they have won four matches by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

On Bryan County's side, they let Elizabeth Harvey and Camryn Parker run wild. Harvey went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Parker went 1-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Parker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Into, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Liberty County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-1 victory against Islands on the 26th. As for Bryan County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 21-0 win against McIntosh County Academy on the 26th.
