Football Recap: St. Agnes Comes Up Short

St. Agnes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 34-6 loss at the hands of the Academy of Holy Angels Stars. While losing is never fun, the Aggies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Stars are ranked 64th).

St. Agnes' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Academy of Holy Angels, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, St. Agnes will venture away from home to square off against Hill-Murray at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pioneers' defense has only allowed 14.1 points per game this season, so the Aggies' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Academy of Holy Angels, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Richfield at 7:00 p.m.
