Huntington Beach and El Dorado are an even 2-2-2 against one another since December of 2015, but likely not for long. The Oilers will challenge the Golden Hawks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Huntington Beach's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Downey as they made off with a 4-0 victory. Huntington Beach haven't had any issues with Downey recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, El Dorado won against El Toro on Tuesday with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. The Golden Hawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Rosary Academy 3-2.

El Dorado's win bumped their record up to 3-0-1. As for Huntington Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Huntington Beach took their win against El Dorado when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Oilers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
