Softball Recap: Cache Bulldogs vs. Washington Warriors

Cache had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 25-14 to make it four. They lost 7-0 to the Washington Warriors. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

As for Washington, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 games by six runs or more this season.

For Washington's part, Ellie Musgrove and Ally Dennis dominated on the mound. Musgrove tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits, while Dennis pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Ava Salcedo and Kinzlee Pogue did most of the damage at the plate: Salcedo got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Pogue went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasey Baker, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.

Looking ahead, Cache will take on Southmoore at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
