Softball Recap: St. Paul Comes Up Short

St. Paul easily dispatched O'Neill on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Wildcats fell just short of the Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Jorja Vokes was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wilber-Clatonia, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

St. Paul has already played their next match, an 11-3 victory against McCook on the 23rd. As for Wilber-Clatonia, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Falls City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
