Baseball Recap: Savannah Country Day Comes Up Short

Savannah Country Day managed to slip by Savannah Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Savannah Country Day came up short against Savannah Christian on Tuesday, falling 12-4. The Hornets just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Savannah Country Day saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Scott, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Scott has posted since back in April of 2024. Another was James Pannell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Savannah Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Savannah Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

While Savannah Country Day had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
